Paul is regarded as one of the top performance Directors in the world and Australia’s most awarded commercials Director with over 300 International Awards including 4 Gold Cannes Lions. Having directed commercials for Carlton Draught, Budweiser, Pepsi, Optus and New Zealand Lotteries to name a few, Paul’s madcap humour and full-on energy have made him far and away one of the most successful commercial directors to come out of Australia and New Zealand. Paul works internationally between Australasia, the US, the UK and Europe.
Steve Hudson Bio
Steve started his career as an advertising creative in London. As an art director, he worked at such high profile agencies as DDB London, BBH London, and AMV BBDO London winning dozens of advertising awards for clients such as Levis, Volkswagen, Audi and British Telecom before being acknowledged by Creative Circle as the 8th most awarded Creative in Great Britain. He now utilises his experience as a creative and combines it with direction. As a result he has either won or been nominated in all the major advertising awards as a commercials director including Cannes, D&AD, The US One Show, BTAA and the Creative Circle.
James Solomon Bio
James makes commercials, music videos and narrative content. His TVC awards include a Cannes Grand Prix, two Gold Lions, gold Effies, a D&AD Pencil and New York One Show Silver. He was one of 7 LBB emerging NZ directors in 2015 and before this one of NZ’s top music video directors. James’s work features a strong element of visual design and technical ability. At the same time he tells human stories that surprise, entertain and encourage people to reflect on the current world.
Camila Zapiola Bio
Camila began her career as a theatre writer and director in Buenos Aires and after graduating from Lee Strasberg Institute in New York began directing commercials. Camila quickly established her unique brand of observational humour working with clients such as McDonalds, Coca Cola, Domino’s and TEDX. Camila has since won two Bronze Lions, two Gold Pencils, and numerous other awards. She has just completed two campaigns in the UK, for Citroen through Havas, and Sixt through AndRising (featured in Shots May 1, 2019).
Amanda Blue Bio
Amanda is a critically acclaimed filmmaker who’s been directing and writing documentaries for the past 15 years and has been nominated for a Bafta as Best Director and a raft of other awards in the UK and internationally, including a Banff for Best Unscripted Series. Her films have sold across the world. Raised in Sydney, she moved to London to complete a Masters Degree in Film and started her career in drama working for Oscar nominated feature film director Mike Figgis, honing her craft and later collaborating with him and producing his documentary arts films. Amanda has a reputation for creating thought-provoking and visually breathtaking films that deal with the complexities of the human experience in surprising ways. She has recently been directing commercials for leading brands, Dove, Fairy and Omo to name but a few and has quickly won a slew of international awards for her advertising work. Her credits as a filmmaker include After the Wave, The Pub Landlord V’s Nigel Farrage, The Greatest Shows on Earth, The Town That Caught Tourette’s, Twincredibles, Prescott: The Class System and Me, The Big School Lottery, The Mummy Diaries and Young Black Farmers.
Tori Savage Bio
Tori is an emerging young talent whose 2018 short film ‘House Guests’ has screened at numerous festivals including CinefestOZ, St Kilda Film Festival, Sydney Underground Film Festival, the AACTA-accredited For Film’s Sake Festival, BAFTA-accredited Encounters Film Festival, Nightmares Film Festival and Freshflix Film Festival. Her passion for the industry has seen her visit The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity on several occasions, where she participated in both The Roger Hatchuel Academy and the Young Lions Creative Academy.
After graduating in 2015 with a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication at UTS, Tori has worked for the last four years as a Director’s Assistant and is striving to continue to develop her career as a Director, creating compelling, visually breath-taking narratives. Tori has directed online commercials for clients such as UNICEF and Yoobi, both having a social conscience behind their branding, something she feels is vital to the future of advertising. The ‘A Minute of Your Time’ campaign for UNICEF has gone on to win several AWARD awards, A Webby and a D&AD Pencil.
